Written about going to standing rock to protest the oil pipeline. If you listen close you can hear Ike smile half way thru the recording. Hauntingly poetic and beautiful in its simplicity.

thru both the Dakotas in an old country band.
I was so young, I wouldn’t know it if I saw it
but it’s safe to say we were on sacred land.

Sometimes we travel down the Mississippi
to the boarded Ford plant or the lock and damn bridge,
